Excellent taxi service - they communicated very well in advance, I booked and paid online. They were prompt, helpful and adaptable, as well as well informed on airport drop offs and collections, and related procedures, which helped me a great deal. The taxi was clean and Ray was a friendly and safe driver.

When the airline refused my electric wheelchair, despite agreeing it on the phone (which was very stressful), he made arrangements at very short notice to help me out, so I could swap wheelchairs. He even checked on us afterwards to make sure all had gone ok after that and we had reached out destination.

Note to self (from Ray) - have everything in writing from an airline next time!

For our return journey, he was proactive in communication so I felt assured he would be there for us. We kept in contact through airport procedures so we could meet up in a timely way.

We'd arrived at Uckfield without a taxi with only a little time to get to a nearby hotel for a wedding. We phoned Ultra taxis and Ray answered, giving us accurate timings on when he'd be there.

When he picked us up we were very stressed about being late. We got in his lovely air conditioned car, nice and cool on the hot Saturday, and he assured us we'd be fine - excellently calming us down.

We arrived with a minute or two to spare and got to our seats well ahead of the bride.

Ray also gave us a card and helped us sort the return pick up at the ideal time and at short notice. Superb service from Hammond and Ultra Taxis. The rating speaks for itself. We were in the area for a relatives wedding and used Ultra throughout.
The car was clean and professionally driven with care and consideration.
The customer services was outstanding from Hammond. First I made the mistake of booking a taxi the for the wrong day online. This was immediately resolved with Hammond with no issue and no fuss. Refunded immediately.
I tried to book a taxi for a further journey but ultra had no slots available. What was excellent that Hammond took note of this and later in the day text me to say there had been a cancellation and had a slot available. This was a really personal service and so kind to remember and to update me. Hammond really did go above and beyond.
Hammond even replied to me late at night about another service and responded quickly. Again top customer service.
Hammond was very friendly and engaging and provided useful information and was entertaining and good person to talk to mid journey.
Hammond was always on-time for our bookings over the weekend x3 and kept me up to date with arrivals.
Tip is not to use UBER in the Uckfield area. They say they will serve but was left down last minute at a remote location by an UBER driver to cancelled last minute. Always use Ultra and ask for Hammond for an fantastic service. Book in advance as much as you can. More than a taxi company. Really brought and added a personal touch. Thank you Hammond and Ultra.
